Wilkin & Dickman Alnwick Ironmongers Invoice Dated 1882
Wilkin & Dickman were general and furnishing Ironmongers etc. and agricultural implement dealers among a lot of other things. This invoice receipted over a one penny stamp is dated August 2nd 1882 and related to various items including coal scuttles, saucepans, bread platter, scrubbing brush, candlesticks, pruning knife etc. Total amount is £5.1.10
Parchment Indenture for an Apprentice Ironmonger dated 1886
Dated April 19th 1886 and referring to an apprenticeship indenture between Stephen Prew (father of Albert) and Francis Joseph Wright, Ironmonger of what appears to be Cheltenham. Sealed by a 2/6 stamp and for a period of five years. Although the hand written details have faded the text remains quite clear and relates to the duties of master to boy and vice versa.
