Scientists have discovered The Endurance, the lost ship of the polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, at the bottom of the Weddell Sea in Antarctica. The ship sank in 1915 when it was crushed by sea ice. Shackleton and the rest of the crew survived and managed to escape in small boats to a nearby island.
