Lost Destination: Brunel University
The Lecture Centre at Brunel University, Uxbridge was designed by John Heywood of Richard Sheppard, Robson and Partners and built between 1965-7. It gained notoriety as a location in Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 film A Clockwork Orange. In 2011 it was awarded Grade II listed status for being of special architectural and historical interest. Heptathlete medallist Jessica Ennis and Spurs and England star Jermain Defoe visited Brunel University in January for an Adidas-sponsored event. 10 children who found hidden Adidas footwear in and around London won the chance to collect their prizes from Jessica and Jermain at Brunel's Indoor Athletics Centre.
