Just recently in tidying up our expansive stock room, we have discovered in the realms over 40 not recently listed (until now) Limited Edition Steiff Pieces, Some ranging from as far back as 1983! These pieces are highly sought after & very collectable as they are & have been previously unavailable. Pictured is a 1999 L/E release of miniature British Collectors Bears from 1994 up to & including 1998. Surely any dedicated arctophiles dream!

The World of Bears supports the 'Railway Children' charity & is proud to announce that our donation of a Steiff L/E British Collectors Bear was auctioned off and raised a substantial £300 at the Railway Ball that in total raised over £375,000 for the Railway Children. The Railway Children is a worthwhile charity that aims to help 'Homeless Children Forever' by removing them from the streets & giving them a future. Our Steiff Event is a wonderful, informal occasion, hosted by the World of Bears in Taunton. This date has now become a much anticipated annual event, amongst those of you out there in the know. Here you will learn all about Steiff, the history,and the craftsmanship, of the company that created the first soft toy, and then the much loved teddy bear. You will meet other collectors, making new friends, as well as being privy to some of the newest designs by Steiff and other manufacturers.

Not only are we home to some fabulous bears & animals, by great manufacturers including Hermann, Hansa, JellyCat, Merrythought, Deans & Kaycee Bears, we specialise in products that are suitable for baby & have undergone stringent safety checks. Steiff do a fantastic range in many styles, Gund produce some great bears & ragdolls, Jellycat are responsible for some of the most popular comforters, bear rattlers & teds, whilst Kaloo are all about texture & sensory experience with their products.
