A very good George III period large Oak Welsh Dresser with Mahogany mouldings and crossbandings, the upper part with a cavetto cornice above a shaped frieze and three lipped shelves flanked by panelled locking cupboards. The base with 7 drawers around a central cupboard, opening to show a wine rack, the corners with quartered fluted columns and the whole raised on shaped bracket feet. Circa 1780 H: 79”, 201 cms, W: 88”, 224 cms, D: 20.5”, 52 cms.
A rare and important quality pair of Chippendale period carved Mahogany side chairs, the scrolling carved top rails above intricate carved interlaced back splats with carved tassels, foliage etc. flanked by moulded section uprights and raised on chamfered square section legs united by a stretcher. Circa 1760 H:38” 96.5cms W:22.75” 58 cms D:22.25” 56.5 cms.
A very pretty George II solid Walnut Corner Table, the well figured top opening to a square from a triangular top supported on a single gate leg above a Walnut frieze and the whole raised on four turned legs terminating in pad feet. A very good Regency Period Rosewood Bookcase/Chiffonier with two graduated shelves with a spindle gallery above two doors with pleated silk panels flanked by carved corbels, the whole raised on bun feet . This is very much a Gillows model. Lit: "Gillows of Lancaster and London" by Susan Stuart, Height: 50", Width: 33.75", Depth: 15".
They really do not come any better than this beautiful Bureau Bookcase attributed to John Coxed and made Circa 1710. "Mulberry" cross banded in Rosewood and with lines of pewter inlay.
A fine and rare George III Period Mahogany Cased Bracket Clock signed on the enamelled dial “Alexr. Cumming London No. 411”,the twin fusee deadbeat escapement striking the hours on one bell with a pull-repeat to the right hand side, the profusely chased and engraved back plate also signed Alexr. Cumming London. Note: As well as the normal hour and minute hand, this movement has a sweep seconds hand. Ca.1790
